“Budge”
- 15.2H, 14 year old golden champagne quarter horse gelding
Budge is a super unique color and you won't find another one like him if you go to a parade, trail ride, or any other local event. He is a golden champagne - and he looks a lot like a palomino in his big winter hair, but he still shines and glows even long haired! But... in the summer.... he is absolutely stunning!!! His color is crazy, and so shiny that he almost looks like a mirror - he turns golden, almost metallic colored - very unique!!! You do not see these everyday. Budge is your ride if you're looking for something simple, no-nonsense, and about as smooth as they come without being a gaited horse! He has an awesome little hobby horse lope, super balanced and easy for anyone. He is uncomplicated to navigate, with a very simple old-school style handle, he neck reins easily and guides wherever you point him. You don't have to know a lot to ride this one. Budge has been used for riding lessons and is currently being used in our own lesson program. He has taught many kids and novices to ride. When he was younger he was used on a working ranch, and he is very comfortable in the pens and around cattle. If you are looking for one to check your place on and occasionally move a few cows, this guy can do that in his sleep. He has also been to lots of organized trail rides, local 4-H shows and local open shows, play days at the Cowboy Church, and tons of parades. He is very relaxed on trail rides and is exceptionally quiet and relaxed in town. He hops right on the trailer and hauls like a seasoned pro rodeo horse and he backs out relaxed and quietly. He is always happy to go somewhere. He is easy to catch, comes up to you anywhere, gets along well with other horses, is happy in the barn or turned out, he is a very easy keeper, and the type of horse you can leave out for a year and go grab him and hop on and enjoy your ride.

~ SALES APPOINTMENTS ~
We typically book sales appointments Monday-Thursday at 9AM, 11AM, and 1PM.
We are often fully booked 24-48 hours out.

We do not currently require an up front booking fee, for appointments scheduled during our regular hours.

75% of our sale horses are successfully sold site-unseen to excellent repeat buyers worldwide, to buyers who do not require an appointment to make a purchase decision.
However 25% of our sales, are horses sold through an in-person sales appointment.
We are staffed throughout the week, full-time, year-round to accommodate all of our buyers who require an in person sales appointment to be able to make a purchase decision.
Sales appointments are for serious buyers who intend to purchase at their sales appointment only. We love selling horses in person through private sales appointments. Please be respectful of our time and only book a sales appointment if you are currently immediately prepared to make a purchase, and plan to make a purchase at your appointment.
If you are just starting to look, are looking to buy in the future, or are not sure yet of what you are looking for and just want to look - we would still absolutely love to help you in your buying journey. Please consider booking an intro lesson or a block of lessons, instead of a sales appointment, if you are not immediately ready to purchase.
WEEKEND OR EVENING APPOINTMENT REQUESTS:
~ In some cases, we can become available on evenings and weekends for sales appointments!
We require a $500 fee, which goes towards your purchase for any weekend or evening appointments.
Our time available for sales appointments during the evenings and over the weekends, is EXTREMELY limited.
Most weekends we are either at a horse sale, at a clinic, booked with lessons, at a competition, at a family event.
….or multiple, or all of the above.
An evening or weekend appointment, does require us paying our already well-paid staff, overtime pay.
An after hours appointment also requires a lot of extra coordination outside our regular work hours.
We currently cover this additional expense ourselves, at no additional cost to our buyers.
However, in order to book someone for an after-hours sales appointment~ we do require an up-front (non-refundable) $500 booking fee, which of course applies to your purchase.
We do NOT require an up-front deposit to book an appointment during all of our regular hours!
